Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants are able to partner together with child care centers in order to support teachers, directors, and other support staff to be better equipped to address social emotional needs of children at the center. Services will be individualized to address the specific goals of the center but might include trainings on topcis of children's social emotional development, screening, classroom strategies and environment, addressing challenging behaviors, reflective time with directors, and teachers, and more. Service duration will be agreed upon at initial visit as outcomes are set. An Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant is a mental health professional with knowledge of child development and child care consultation services.
This is for a situation when there is not an individual child or family identified but when a child care center has interest in partnering with a mental health consultant.
