Our Leadership Development umbrella is inclusive of all other programs. The program helps boys become responsible citizens and prepares them to lead today’s society. It teaches boys accountability to HOPE Farm staff and their parents, how to properly greet another person, the benefits of truth and of giving full effort. The boys are given opportunities to make multiple contributions to the community through performances and volunteerism.
Self-control, responsibility, perseverance, respect for authority and promptness are a sampling of the virtues that are emphasized in our Character-Building program. They are applied in academics, recreation, dining, choir rehearsal and household tasks. Character Building helps the boys become responsible citizens and future leaders.
Our academic program emphasizes collaborations
between HOPE Farm staff, parents, teachers, and school administrators. The
program reinforces reading, language and mathematics according to each boy’s
assessed skill level, personal needs, and unlimited potential.
The HOPE Farm Boys Choir and Piano Program, led by
Becky Ringer, exists as a platform to build musical skill. The boys engage the
community by performing at many public and community events each yearThe STEM program helps the middle school boys
appreciate and become passionate about science through lessons and hands on
activities. We use teacher waiver days as our classroom time, and we have
been able to find large chunks of time to dedicate towards preparing our young
men for the types of jobs they will encounter in the 21st Century
The Moms Resource Program (MRP) assists the moms of HOPE Farm boys with spiritual and inspirational encouragement and provides structural tools to help them partner with HOPE Farm.
