We believe that the core issue in alcohol and substance abuse is a spiritual one that is overcome by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most people that find themselves in need of rehabilitation have reached a point where they cannot recover on their own, independent of the help of others, and most have burned all of their bridges. They are bound to fall back into the same cycle of addiction, turn to the same old patterns of behavior, and the same negative associations, unless they experience an entire life change and forge new and healthy relationships in a community of faith.
We provide a residential approach, free of charge, that brings the resident into relationship with others that have found the way out and can model what a godly home, marriage, and family is supposed to look like. We covenant to walk with every man that comes into the ministry of the Denton Freedom House through every phase of his rehabilitation and maturation, until together we walk across the finish line of life and hear the words of our Savior say, “well done good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of the Lord!”
