• The Family Support Coaching Program offers two service options for families with children under 6 years of age: Hopes and THV. Our program supports families and their children who have experienced trauma, are experiencing behavioral issues and/or parents who are simply seeking education to address connection, secure attachment, and child developmental concerns. The Family Support Coaching Program also offers pregnancy and postpartum parent education and resources for new and expectant mothers (families) in Tarrant and surrounding counties. There is no wait list, but intake may take two to three weeks.

  • The Family Support Coaching Program offers parent education TBRI® for parent education, managing difficult behaviors, helping with transitions and parent support for children with sensory needs, diagnoses such as ADD/ADHD, ODD, DMDD, high functioning autism, etc. 

    *Additionally, they offer Pathways® (for children on the spectrum) and is ideal for helping parents learn about autism. Both TBRI® and Pathways® are offered under HOPES. All HOPES programs service Tarrant and 10 surrounding counties listed below.

    *They also offer Promoting First Relationships® for families with children under six years of age for connection and secure attachment, as well as the Mothers and Babies® Program for pregnant moms and post-partum moms with babies up to 12 months of age where we provide individual, one on one services only.

    *All THV programs service Tarrant County residents only. 

    Services:

    • The program duration is 3-6 months (can extended to 12 months total) in which a coach is assigned to provide services to a family, to strengthen, support and increase capacity for families to prevent the likelihood of child abuse or neglect.
    • They offer in-home services to families with children (birth through age 5) to empower the whole family to promote healthy child development, connection, secure attachment, healthy behaviors, and to strengthen family relationships.
    • They provide parent education and access to resources to help maintain family stability and increase resiliency with support for both social and concrete support.
    • Where applicable, they also offer consultative services with and LPC for mental health consultation and an SLP for feeding and speech issues.
    • After completing the program, coaches and participants may “check in” for support up to 12 additional months.
     

    Eligibility:

    • Families are eligible to exhibit stress/risk factor and who may/may not qualify for ECI
    • Child must reside in the home with caregiver/guardian in the counties served
    • Child must be under the age of six
    • If there is legal custody established, custody documentation is required.
    The Home-visiting services are provided by ECS-Family Support Coaching Staff and include:
    1. One on One Coaching from a QMHP Family Support Coach
    2. Parent Education
    3. Counseling
    4. SLP Consultation Services
    5. Autism Support
    6. Support for Managing Difficult Behaviors in Children
    7. Workforce development
    8. Basic needs Support
    9. Housing/Transportation Support
    10. Translation / Interpretation Services
    11. Observations in the natural environment
     

    Provides an evidence-based curriculum which includes:

    • Trust-Based Relationship Intervention
    • Pathways
    • Promoting First Relationships
    • Individual Mothers and Babies

    The program approach includes the process of “TEAMING” in support of families’ best interest in joint planning and supporting with access to resources in house and with community partners where applicable.

    The services are provided in the natural environment or virtually, as is best for the participants.

    *ASQ screening forms are required (both ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE

     

    For Expectant Mothers:

    Expectant mothers can be referred to both FSC and Family Connects programs. Mothers who have just delivered up to 9 weeks will go to Family Connects directly and can no longer enroll after 12 weeks. 

    The Perinatal Connections Program, previously known as Better Beginnings, can be accessed through Family Connects for post pregnancy support, including post-partum depression. 

    *Provided: For Groups Mothers and Babies Curriculum; complete postpartum depression screener and an access to Perinatal Connections Registered Nurse.

    A referral for Perinatal support (including previous Family Connects) for pregnant mothers can be sent through Help Me Grow. 

    A family may have been in FSC and then want to go to Perinatal Connections and vice versa and this is an appropriate referral.
