Ruth's Place Clinic model offers a holistic approach to rural healthcare - offering medical, dental, vision, and counseling services to uninsured residents of Hood County. Healthcare partnerships, educational affiliations, and collaboration with various entities in Hood County connect uninsured families with resources that are not available at the Clinic.
Clinic physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses provide healthcare services for both children and adults. “Well-woman” checkups include pap smears and breast exams. No-cost or low-cost mammograms are available thanks to partnerships with Moncrief Cancer Institute and Texas Health Resources.
The Community Outreach Center operates a weekly food pantry in collaboration with Granbury First United Methodist Church, FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) and parenting classes in conjunction with Cooks Children's, plus an After-School program during the academic year and Healthy Kids Summer Lunch program with GISD.
There is a car clinic one Saturday a month from 10 am to 2pm at the location on Maplewood dr. An appointment must be made. This is to assistance families in need with having transportation so income guidelines. Call Helen at 817-579-1521
