HOUSING AUTHORITY COVID-19 UPDATE
With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issuing a health alert regarding the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) would like to provide the following information.
For All Arlington Residents:
Eviction court proceedings have been suspended and no writs of possession will be issued by Tarrant County Courts until the Court receives a new directive. To hear

For Arlington Housing Authority Clients:
Beginning Monday, 3/23/20, AHA will no longer assist customers in the lobby. AHA staff will be available via phone and email, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
A secure drop box has been installed in the lobby for participants to drop off documents. A copier is available for you to make free copies of your original documents. AHA will provide an email confirmation that the documents were received.
Until further notice, all appointments will be conducted by phone.
Applicants, landlords and tenants can submit paperwork through email, the AssistanceConnect portal, or the lobby drop box.
Staff can provide information to applicants, landlords and tenants through mail, email, or the AssistanceConnect portal

Housing Choice Voucher
Assistance Connect
Housing rehabilitation program
Homeless prevention program
Must reside in the City of Arlington Texas
Residents will need to meet income guidelines: Families are eligible when their total income does not exceed HUD's very low-income limits and they meet other eligibility criteria as outlined in our local Administrative Plan.
Must qualify as a family have an income within the very low income limits
Meet citizenship/eligible immigrant criteria
Provide documentation of valid social security numbers on all family members
Program income requirements:
Housing Choice Voucher =Below 50% AMI ( Area Wide Median Income)
Housing Rehabilitation = Below 80% AMI
Homeless Housing= Below 30% of AMI
Each year, the Arlington Housing Authority opens the Wait List to accept applications for the Housing Choice Voucher program. In 2019, the Open Enrollment period was from 9:00 am, August 22 through 9:00 am, August 28.2019
