According to the Dallas City Hall Website information over COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing Site
Individuals who think they need to get tested for COVID-19 the first step is to: Call your doctor first. The general public can all call Dallas County Health and Human Services at 972-692-2780 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday and 2-1-1 outside of call center hours.
Testing Criteria Below: (Anyone not meeting the criteria below will not be tested at the testing sites and should contact their healthcare provider.)
• Must have temperature of 99.6 or higher and shortness of breath or cough; OR
• Anyone 65-years-old or older; OR
• Anyone with chronic health issues (diabetes, asthma, heart issues, etc.); OR
• Any first responders, DART drivers, healthcare workers, grocery store and essential retail store workers
Take the follow information to the Testing Site:
A photo ID (but not necessarily Government ID)
Your health insurance card (NOTE: everyone will be tested, regardless of your insurance coverage)
Results:
Patients will be provided with the number to "look out" for. If the test is positive the patient will receive a phone call, it's important to "look out" for the number, because the caller's will only call the patient 3 times. Results may take 3 to 5 days to be processed.
