Trauma Support Services of North Texas - Pending

• Provides professional trauma counseling, still primarily tele-health, and support to children (8 and up), adults, and families who have experienced trauma, regardless of their ability to pay (they must be uninsured or no mental health insurance). This service is for victims of a crime, even if not reported. They will work with children if they witness domestic violence or were a part of a violent situation. They currently have a 1-2 month wait list or less, depending on the therapists. Located in Dallas, but can serve all of Texas. This can be free or low cost and they do accept Crime Victims Compensation for those who qualify.

    TSSNT uses various types of therapy to help our clients meet their therapeutic needs.  They provide  free access to therapy for those who are victims of a crime and uninsured .  Currently, these are mainly by telehealth. There is a waiting list, but the length varies by therapist.

    They serve victims of: homicide, abuse, robbery/burglary, rape and assaults.

    The services include: 

    - Individual therapy 

    -Group therapy 

    -play therapy

    -free on demand webinars in areas such as black women and intimate partner violence

    Will accept Crime Victims Compensation for those who qualify.

    -family therapy

    psychoeducational trauma groups.

    There is a Trauma flyer and guide uploaded from the Trauma Care Institute on resources available.
