Eligibility for Single Parent Cottage: Must be at, or below, 80% of the HUD income limits for their family size; Must be employed and able to pay rent as structured for the program; Must have reliable transportation; Must have full custody of at least 1 child; Must not have a partner that resides with them; Must pass a background check; Must pass a drug test; Must be willing and able to participate in program requirements. Applicants who meet the above requirements will be placed on our interest list. Once we have an opening, those on the interest list will be invited to apply. CTS offers: Individual counseling and play therapy, Family, couples, and group counseling, Counseling, group education, and after care services to clients in CPCH residential programs, Counseling Internship Program, CEU trainings to professionals in the community, Treatment services to clients of TDFPS. The counseling center has flexible hours including daytime and evening appointments. Counseling services are provided on a sliding fee scale, making them affordable for everyone, and we also accept certain types of Medicaid.
The Emergency Shelter Program and Children's Residential Program: We have two long term cottages. One serves ten girls with a specialized level of care and the other serves eight boys and girls with a basic and moderate level of care. Accepts children and teens ages 5-17 years, Provides clothing and nutritious meals, as well as a safe, caring place to live, Offers life-skills training, counseling, case management, spiritual development and medical and dental care, Assists children with their individual goals, Has the capacity to care for 8 residents. We have two long term cottages. One serves ten girls with a specialized level of care and the other serves eight boys and girls with a basic and moderate level of care. The duration of a child's stay depends on his or her specific needs. Each child is eligible for after-care through Cumberland Family Services upon leaving the program.
