The program provides women's health and family planning services at no cost to eligible, low-income Texas women. Through the demonstration waiver, HHS seeks to increase access to and participation in the program. This waiver will not change the current Healthy Texas Women client or provider experience.
Healthy Texas Women is a program dedicated to offering women’s health and family planning at no cost to eligible women in Texas. These services help women plan their families, whether it is to achieve, postpone, or prevent pregnancy. They also can have a positive effect on future pregnancy planning and general health.
The Family Planning Program is dedicated to providing accessible family planning and reproductive healthcare to eligible women and men in Texas. The free or low-cost services offered through the Family Planning Program help reduce unintended pregnancies, allow people to determine the number and spacing of their children, and improve birth outcomes and overall health.
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Services program’s goal is to help women receive quality and accessible cancer screening and health services. Regular screening is the best method to detect breast or cervical cancer in its earliest stages.
