Because we believe in young people and their ability to change and grow in healthy and productive ways, we build on their strengths as we work with them to face challenges. Our clinical team develops an individualized treatment plan designed to address a variety of issues. Consideration is given both to the needs of patients and those of parents or guardians.
Most often, we admit patients from ages 6-17 with a complex array of behavioral, neurodevelopmental or neuropsychiatric problems. Regardless of the degree of need, we provide the care and treatment required to increase the likelihood of the best possible outcome for your child or adolescent and your family.
We have served thousands of children and adolescents over the years and partners with families from across the country with a variety of specialized needs, whether cognitive, emotional, neurobiological and in some cases medically complex.
The Treatment Center is located on 65 acres in the Texas Hill Country, 25 miles south of Austin and 50 miles north of San Antonio. With an abundance of trees and wildlife, this idyllic setting provides a healthy environment for children and adolescents. The facility has 212 beds divided into 13 living units across the campus.
The weather is pleasant year-round, so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities, fresh air and sunshine. Walking to and from units, school, activities and cafeteria over our hilly campus is a great way for boys and girls to achieve fitness.
