  • Services:

    -First Refuge Food Pantry: Clients may come to the Food Pantry once every 30 days during operation hours. (No wait list) 

    -First Refuge Choice Pantry: This pantry provides the client an opportunity to choose foods based upon their dietary needs and choosing items that will supplement what they already have a home. (No wait list)

    -Medical Clinic: Must have an appointment. Please. call 940-213-3571 to schedule. (wait list)

    -Dental Clinic: FRD recommends a $10.00 donation for services (wait list)

    -Counseling: FRD provide services for a fee of $10.0 per visit (No wait list)

    In order to access all of these Health Services you must meet the following requirements:   

    -Must live in Denton County, have no personal insurance or a high deductible such as $5,000 or more, have Medicaid or CHIP, and be unable to find health care provider who accepts these insurances.

    -You will need to provide the following documentation: Proof of income: last pay stub, SSI eligibility letter, etc., Proof of residency: lease, mortgage coupon, or a current utility bill in your name, Driver's license or picture ID, Proof that children reside in your household: birth certificate, Medicaid cards, report cards/current school records, or immunization records

    ****First Refuge Ministries charges a $10.00 gratuity for all medical visits. If the client is able we request that you make a larger donation. Services will be provided regardless of ability to pay minimum donation. The patient is responsible for laboratory tests and testing supply fees.
