Upbring Head Start Preschool continues to monitor reports from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Local Independent School District (ISD), Office of Head Start (OHS), and State Regulation websites to ensure a safe environment for our students, staff, families, and community. In compliance with ISD schedules, our schools will be closed until further notice. Staff will continue to work remotely to assist families with free resources including virtual education.
Upbring Head Start works with children ages infant to 5 years old. The program provides educational services that prepare a child to be ready to start kindergarten. The center serves children with special needs, in an inclusive setting. Each child receives nutritious, daily snacks at the center.
This program also assigns the family an advocate who will answer their questions to ensure the family receives the support they need. Headstart can also connect the family to resources such as: job placement resources, parenting skills training, medical, dental and mental health services and other support that would benefit a child’s family. The program will also help you explore transportation options if necessary.
