At Brighter Tomorrows our primary goal is to provide support so survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as their family members, can begin healing. Services include emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, safety planning, individual counseling, therapy/support groups, play therapy/children's counseling (ages 3-17), parenting classes, legal advocacy, case management, food/toiletry pantry, hospital/legal accompaniment, referrals, and housing assistance. Our services are provided free of charge and confidential regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or age to both shelter residents and non-shelter residents. Services are offered in English and Spanish. Brighter Tomorrows also offers prevention services such as Batterers Intervention Prevention Program (BIPP) and trainings/presentations in the community.
Brighter Tomorrows staffs 2 emergency safe shelters in Grand Prairie and Irving at undisclosed locations. Both locations are gated and equipped with security cameras. Our emergency safe shelters can house up to a total of 72 residents (women, children, and men). Brighter Tomorrows' "Purple Paw Program" allows for families to bring their pets into shelter with them.
