This is a childcare center that provides nurturing services for children 6 weeks through 12 years and have the experience needed to make this time successful.
Their team of teachers and the director have 80 combined years of experience and education in the field. Staff members have a variety of credentials and degrees, including associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees and CDAs. They consistently participate in professional development to stay abreast of current education trends.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have new protocols in place. They have a health and safety daily checklist to ensure all CDC guidelines are being followed. They conduct health checks for all who enter the building. They allow only children and staff in the classrooms.
They also provide access to classroom cameras for parents to view a child’s activities in the classrooms in real time, at any time, on any electronic device, with secured access. In the Fall, they will offer access to K-5 students so they can complete their school district’s on line learning through their newly offered Prep Lab program. They offer flexible schedules to accommodate families' needs.
Young children sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, hurtful words, or defiance. This happens because children haven’t yet learned the crucial social, emotional, language, and cognitive skills that lead to positive behavior.
At Childtime, they believe these instances of challenging behaviors are learning opportunities. They provide their teachers with tools and resources for Positive Behavior Support. They use a program called MyPath.
