Specializations include school related problems such as learning or behavior challenges, peer and social difficulties, bullying, stress management, anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, Asperger’s, self-harm, trauma, grief/loss, divorce and blended family issues. I also can provide evaluations and screenings for ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, and other mood disorders in youth. In working with kids and teens, I find it especially important to take a collaborative approach in working with the parents, family, pediatrician, school counselors and teachers to create an environment that expedites the treatment plan to educate and equip your child or teen to communicate their thoughts, feelings and emotions in helpful ways giving them a valuable opportunity to better process and adjust to the world around them. I also particularly enjoy working with young adults (ages 18-25) who are going through difficult life transitions or seem to be “stuck” or unsure of their life path or relationship patterns such as moving out on their own, choosing/starting a career, continuing college, moving back in with their parents, difficulty finding community and connection, lack of meaningful relationships, or finding purpose / meaning.
