Types of Therapy Offered by CFGC
Play Therapy: Play has often been described as the language of children. Our specially trained play therapists help young children express their most difficult feelings. Some of the tools therapist use in the play therapy process are games, books, toys, anatomically correct dolls, sand tray therapy, and art therapy.
Individual Therapy for Youth and Adults: Sessions are designed to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment that allows clients to talk about their struggles and challenges and work through past traumas to increase opportunities for positive change and success.
Family Therapy: Sessions are designed to help families improve familial relationships and enhance family functioning by allowing family members to address issues related to divorce, grief, abuse, single parenting, step parenting, blended families and more.
Couples Therapy: Sessions are designed to provide a safe environment where both individuals in the couple feel heard and are able to work through the presenting problem together.
Family Empowerment Program (FEP): Caregivers are provided support and resources by working directly with a master's level intern to help them learn about their child's diagnosis, emotional and behavioral problems, parenting skills assistance as well as their own mental healthcare needs.
Parent Empowerment Program: Our parenting program curriculum is based on SAMHSA approved Nurturing Parenting and Parenting Wisely, along with RealCare Babies™. Our program is a 12 week curriculum and is intended to: Improve parenting knowledge and skills, Reduce child behavior problems, Reduce delinquency and substance abuse among adolescents, Strengthen the relationship between child and parent
**Important Information Regarding Parent Empowerment Program: Parent Empowerment Program will be offered as a one-on-one service. The cost is $45 per class and participants can contact our office at 903-893-7768 to schedule their first appointment. All 12 classes must be completed to receive a certificate. Class qualifies for double community service hours as approved by the probation office.
Anger Management: is a SAMSHA based curriculum designed to support individuals with anger concerns. Curriculum covered in this program includes understanding anger, anger in the family, a review of the aggression cycle, creating anger control plans, assertiveness training, and conflict resolution. Clients will meet once per week for 12 weeks at $45 per session
Women's Empowerment Program: 8 week Women's Empowerment Program. The program focuses on building positive self-esteem, healthy relationships, and setting healthy boundaries. The program is offered in a one-on-one format at our office. This program is free of charge.
We accept Medicaid, Superior CHIP, Aetna, BCBS, Tricare, United HealthCare and other private insurance. We provide services regardless of client's financial limitations by offering uninsured or underinsured children, adults and families a sliding scale fee program based on family income and number of family members living in the home.
