This program works to protect children from abuse, neglect and family separation and helps children overcome these things when they do happen. This program will work with families, whenever possible, to strengthen their ability to care for their children. They provide multiple services as listed below:
The program provides transitional housing for single mothers and their children who are experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence.
-offers real help for youth, up to age 18, and their families dealing with real-life issues such as; conflict at home, bullying anger management issues, talk of running away, or behavior problems.
provide one-hour group classes for youth 10-16 with topics including; life skills, Why Try, Anger Management, Theft Prevention, and Parenting Wisely.
ASSESSMENT, INTERVENTION, AND REFERRAL SERVICES (AIRS) is a 24-hour crisis call response, centralized assessment and intake department for ACH programs, and they also make referrals to services in the community.
THE LIFE (LEARNING INDEPENDENCE FROM EXPERIENCE) PROJECT is a supervised independent living program (SIL) that provides young adults the opportunity to live and learn in a more self-directed environment that inspires confidence and self-sufficiency. Participants between the ages of 18 and 21 benefit from a variety of housing options that promote learning, provide guidance and build necessary skills as the young adult’s progress toward full independence.
SAFE PLACE is a locally administered national program designed to provide immediate help and safety to young people under the age of 18 years, who are experiencing a crisis.
offers runaway, homeless and street youth as well as trafficking survivors, ages 10-17, 24-hour immediate safe shelter and care while ACH works to reunite them with their families or find safe and stable alternative living arrangements.
provides services for families until the adoption is finalized. ACH also provides post-adoption support and referral services to families, as needed.
includes therapeutic residential services for children, ages 4-12, with moderate to severe behavioral challenges.
FOSTER CARE provides services for children, ages 0-17, in the conservatorship of the state of Texas

By helping teens understand that they are safe, that some adults can be trusted, and that they can relax and not worry about protecting themselves from an abuser, these youth can make incredible strides in their development
is a crisis intervention, acute stabilization, and family preservation program providing foster children and their caregivers with relief and therapeutic interventions that prevent hospitalizations and placement disruptions.
