  • This studio is operated by Tonya Blum who is a Board-Certified Music Therapist in Denton.  She offers 2 free, online music therapy groups for children 3-10 years with developmental delays and disabilities as part of my partnership with TWU in mentoring their practicum students. These free groups are 10 weeks long. Sessions will be designed and led by Tonya with the TWU students observing and leading 1 or 2 music therapy strategies under her supervision during each group session. Music strategies will be designed to encourage an increase in communication, motor, cognitive, and social skills using age appropriate music. Families who participate will receive a Music Making Kit in the mail that includes shakers, rhythm sticks, and a scarf for dancing/sensory activities. Space is limited and will begin next the first full week of October.  Families that might be interested should enroll on the website or by calling or emailing the studio.
