Drop-in Center:
Childcare center for first responders and families receiving services at Parkland Hospital. Caregivers are encouraged to schedule ahead of time to secure a spot. Drop-in center can be utilized for appointments related to:
Preventative care
Medical treatment
Medical emergencies
Medical appointment for a child and need childcare for siblings
Receiving a vaccine
Weekend Care:
Backup weekend childcare for first responders and all hospital employees of Parkland and Children's Health. No walk-ins accepted, caregivers are encouraged to fill out enrollment form ahead of time to prepare for when backup childcare is needed. To be utilized as short term care when regular childcare isn't available. Examples include:
Sudden change in work schedule
School/daycare closures and holidays
Care provider or babysitter (nanny, grandparent, etc...) illness/vacation
In-Home Nanny Care:
For primary caregivers experiencing a health crisis. Priority is given to caregivers who need full-time care for children under the age of five.
Eligibility:
Family must reside in Dallas, Denton or Collin counties.
No specific income requirements
Experiencing a temporary health crisis that disables caregiver and prevents them from providing care to children
For longer illnesses or treatment plans, care can be provided for 3-6 months. It is the family's responsibility to arrange a long-term childcare solution if childcare is needed for a longer period of time.
Play Therapy:
Offers 10 free play therapy sessions to children ages 3-12 as well as parenting sessions. Families do not need to be enrolled in Annie's Place to receive play therapy.
