SERVICES:
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program aims to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and empower low-income persons to become self-sufficient to provide education support, employment support, rental assistance, financial well-being, health and wellness, nutrition, and transportation resources.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must reside in our ten-county service area, listed above and meet the income guidelines according to the Federal Income Guidelines (see the table provided. Applicants will be required to provide the following documents: Identification Card, Social Security Card, Verification of Household Income, Pay Stubs for the last 30 days and/or Benefits Support Letter of the current year (i.e., SSI, SSDI, RSDI)
Community Transit Service (CTS) program: to provide safe and efficient transportation to the public and persons with special needs as specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the Ellis and Navarro County service areas. Eligibility Requirements: Trips must originate from Ellis or Navarro County. No special requirements are needed
The Meals on Wheels (MOW) Association of America program provides hot, home-delivered meals to age-appropriate individuals who meet the requirements of the programs for services. Individuals with limited mobility due to illness or a disability may also qualify for the program in Navarro County service areas. Eligibility Requirements: Must be a resident of Navarro County. Must have Medicaid or Private Insurance. Must be Primarily Homebound
Our case management program is designed to give you the necessary tools to reach short-term and long-term self-sufficiency goals. As an active participant in our program, you will receive referrals to services provided through the Texas Workforce Commission centers, such as: Job placement assistance, Job skills training, Financial literacy education (i.e., budgeting, financial well-being), Resume Development, Soft-skills coaching, Workers’ Compensation, Pension, Unemployment Benefits
