SERVICES:
*Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program is a utility assistance program designed to assist low income households in meeting their immediate energy needs.
*Grant Funds can be used to provide rent assistance, as well as emergency food. CSBG assistance is also used to help in the transitioning of individuals and families out of poverty and help them become self-sufficient.
*The public transportation services are available in Ellis and Navarro County to the general public, regardless of income. Transit clients use these services to commute to work, attend college, keep medical appointments, and many other needs and desires. Providing curb-to-curb service, the buses will pick-up and drop-off clients to their desired destinations, determined at the time of reservation.
*Weatherization Program receives funds through various sources for weatherization purposes. Weatherization can come in the form of insulation, caulking, window and door replacement and/or repair, as well as repair or replacing heating and cooling units.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must provide verification and documentation of income to determine household eligibility for emergency assistance. Current billing statement from electric/gas supplier is required, including service address and service period. Application may also be requested by phone.
