• In-home case management services and referrals to community resources to assist mother's before and after pregnancy and the first two years of life in Tarrant County. Other services provided are free community classes on health and wellness, breastfeeding, safety and healthy support groups. There is no wait list and all education services are free. They serve most of the greater Tarrant County. Parents can call or fill out the online application.

  • Clients referred to Healthy Start receive in-home case management services and will be linked to other community resources as needed. 

    *Services offered are based on eligibility, needs and the unique situations of each family to build family resiliency. Healthy Start focuses on the 4Ps: Preconception, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Parenting. 

    * Offers Client Class such as exercise classes, financial planning, resume building, book clubs for parents and kids, breast feeding support groups, car seat safely and healthy cooking.  They also offer baby massage, CPR and AED classes.

    Community classes: financial planning, exercise class/walking groups, resume building, book club for parents and kids, breastfeeding support groups (for moms and dads), car seat safety, and healthy cooking.

    Eligibility: Non-pregnant, Pregnant, Postpartum, Parenting (child under 18 months), and live in one of the following zip codes:

    Central 76102, 76103, 76104, 76105, 76112, 76119; Southeast 76011, 76012, 76013, 76118, 76112; South 76123, 76133, 76134, 76140;

    or: (if not in one of the above zip codes, received no or late prenatal care during current or previous pregnancy, has experienced previous complicated pregnancy or maternal health complication.
