Community ISD Child Find - Approved

• The purpose of Child Find is to identify, locate, and evaluate children from birth to 21 years of age with known or suspected disabilities who reside in and/or attend school within district boundaries and may be in need of special education and related services. Each ISD provides special education services to children who have, or are suspected of having a disability. Special education services are available to children with disabilities, ages 3 through 21. Children who have impaired vision or hearing can receive services beginning from birth.

  • If you suspect an infant, child or young adult of having a developmental delay or disability, your school can open a window of hope for a brighter future. Services at not cost to the family are available to all eligible individuals from birth through 21 years of age regardless of the severity of their disability.Community ISD has special services available for eligible infants, children, and young adults that are identified with disabilities who may be experiencing difficulties in one or more of the following areas:
