The Care House (Adolescent Respite Unit) offers short-term, residential treatment to youth 13-17 in a mental health crisis. Adolescents must have low risk of harm to themselves or others. Treatment is also provided for youth with some functional needs that require supervision but does not require hospitalization.
-Youth must be able to self-administer medication.
-Screen time is limited to 2 hours a day.
-There is bilingual staff available.
-Family visits and outings are encouraged, and allowed.
-Multiple activities available on site; outings regularly scheduled.
-Youth does not need to be an active MHMR client.
