Summer Program
*is designed to keep kids safe, fed and engaged during the summer months. They provide approximately 100 kids from ages 0-11 yrs. with age- appropriate learning such as reading, STEM, creativity, groups projects, field trips, and biblical lessons.
*for children 8 years and up there is a trip to a week-long sleepaway camp in the Texas Hill Country. This starts the week after Fort Worth ISD ends the school year.
*They close the week of July 4th and run through the end of July or first week of August.
Preschool program
*a twice-weekly mother’s day out program.
*they offer learning activities, centers of engagement, outdoor play.
*each classroom has an experienced teacher who has a Child Development or BA degree.
*this is free-of-charge to families who received CCMS.
****parents or guardians must complete a minimum of 12-hours of parent engagement and participate in two annual conferences to remain eligible for re-enrollment (knowledge of child development, personal empowerment, and community involvement). If parents complete this then they are offered other events such as the Back 2 School Bash, Valentine’s Karaoke, Family Christmas Party and Literacy Carnival to help them engage with their child in a fun way.
*priority given to children in zip code 76104 but children all over Tarrant County are welcome to apply.
***parents must commit for their children to attend at least 75% of the time.
After School Program (only for students attending Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary School)
*bus takes the child to the center.
*assist with homework and reading.
*there are bible lessons and volunteers to assist them.
*this is free of charge if they attend this school.
