The MST program is for adolescents between the age of 12-17 who are at risk for out of home placement and system consequences that correlate with high-risk youth due to a multitude of reasons such as behavioral, substance, truancy, theft and other criminal behavior, and aggressive/violent behavioral issues. The MST program works closely with every system involved with the adolescent (caregivers, school, probation officer, peers, community, etc.) to work towards sustainability and long-term improvement and progress. MST is an intensive, brief therapy program lasting between 3-5 months with multiple hours spent weekly working with the systems on overarching goals and improvement.
If approved for services after referral review, the adolescent and family will be admitted into the MST program free of charge to them, with the focus solely on achieving goals and improving behavior.
