English Classes
English Class program has 5 different levels and allows students to learn to speak, read and write in fun and encouraging groups. Free childcare is available for the daytime program only (for 6 months – 5 yrs. old children) based on limited open spots.
Night classes are once a week (Tuesdays) 6:30 – 8:30 PM. (NO Childcare) Day classes are twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) 9:30 – 11 AM (Free Childcare)
A $50 registration fee is due on the first day of class. ALL NEW students must apply and take a 30-minute placement test in person to be considered for a place in class. Admission to the program is based on open spots. Students will be placed on the waiting list if no spots are open.
Citizenship Test Preparation Classes
6-week Citizenship Test preparation classes are taught in easy English to help students prepare to pass the citizenship test and interview in English.
*NO Childcare. NO Legal immigration services or application assistance provided*
One-time $30 fee for new students only, with FREE retakes.
Classes and Workshops
Focus on serving our under-resourced community with limited access to and knowledge of our workforce.
Provide skills training that job seekers need to find a job, including Resume Writing, Interview Skills, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
Provide small business workshops and an annual Youth focused Job Fair.
Job Connections
We leverage our relationships within local businesses to advocate for those struggling to gain employment.
We advocate for students in our classes and our community partner clients by making introductions and referrals to hiring managers. We work with local businesses that are looking to fill roles while making a difference in our community
LG Kitchen
Our Kitchen provides training in the introduction, education, and preparation of food. These classes are targeted at our underserved community. Students are taught how to make healthier choices in their diet through a hands-on learning experience that can be replicated at home.
LG Market
Our Market allows our program participants to shop for healthy foods. An important part of health management is having access to healthy food, and our market focuses on fresh fruits, vegetables and protein options. The goal of our Market is to provide our underserved community access to healthy food.
LG Preventative Health
The Preventative Health program offers a better understanding of health and well-being through educational classes on preventative health topics, vaccine fairs, health screenings, and exercise programs. Our target audience is our community in need who is uninsured and under resourced.
