Advocacy:
Crisis Interventions- Trained advocates are available on our 24-hour sexual assault line to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals to survivors, their families, and friends. Call our sexual assault crisis hotline for help: 1-800-886-7273. Crisis intervention and support services are available at the Plano location daily on a walk-in basis during business hours, Monday-Friday or from our 24-hour sexual assault hotline.
Legal Advocacy- Legal advocacy and referral services are available to survivors who work with law enforcement, the district attorney's office, and the court system. Advocates are available to accompany the survivor while they meet with the police if requested.
Medical Advocacy- Advocates are there to comfort the survivor by offering support and ensuring the survivor has next steps and referrals. Trained advocates accompany and support sexual assault survivors through the forensic examination process at hospitals
Counseling:
EMDR intensive sessions for survivors of recent sexual assault. Virtual Support group (4 sessions).
Education/ Outreach:
Youth-Focused Education and Workshops- Healthy Relationships, Building Resilience, Media Literacy/Online Safety, Empowered Bystanders, Creating a Consent Culture, and Bullying/Sexual Harassment.
Parents, Caregivers, and other Youth-Serving Adults- On-line Safety, Principles of building healthy relationships, How to talk to youth about sexual violence and other tough subjects, and Incorporating prevention messages into everyday conversations.
Courtney's SAFE Place:
Free clinic for ages 17 and older of all genders, not under the influence of intoxicants, in need of emergency hospital or psychiatric services, that provides forensic exams, evidence collection, and advocacy for people who have experienced sexual assault within the last 120 hrs. Referrals for counseling, legal services, follow up medical care, and shelter are also available.
